Why I'm putting my elbows up.

I can’t shake the feeling that now is the time for the revolutionaries, the peaceful activists, the bossy babes, and the champions of change to act out.

Pardon my French, but there are some real ding dongs out there trying to force their values, shift our way of living, and convince us we’re alone in wanting peace, acceptance, health, and frankly, lives that care more about the communal good than our own selfish needs.

I’ve never been one to follow the rules. So I paused. I listened. And I asked myself how I want to respond.

Instead of panic, I want to see the opportunity in this new world order, where globalized capitalism is challenged in exchange for localized production, sourcing and buying. Consumer confidence is at an all-time low, and we are facing a recession, so where can brands come in to offer everyday luxuries that bring joy back into what has otherwise become a sea of commodities?

One thing I know for sure: I have this incredible community of like-minded folks who are all working to do their best and make conscious choices everyday. After speaking in-depth with over 30 of you these past few weeks, I know I’m not alone.

I’m on a mission to create beautiful products that spark joy—but also carry deeper purpose. That means:

→ shifting our supply chain toward small batch, local options

→ focusing on growth with sales channels and distributors within Canada

→ developing really high quality products made with local Canadian sea algae extracts

→ working to bring down costs to we can make our products more accessible to all

→ cutting down on single-use waste and fossil fuel–based packaging
→ creating formulas that are gentle on your whole family
→ and building a brand that stands for more in the world

Can a single hand soap do all that?
Maybe not. But without it, my voice feels like just another drop in the puddle.
